I came across an old Linkin Park song that inspired me to do this photoshoot. I'm lucky that my cousin was able to be the model for this project. With her stance, attitude, and facial expressions, I was able to capture exactly what I was imagining. I hope you enjoy these photos and the message I'm trying to say.

The World Doesn't Stand Still For You
You know how there are people in the world who believes the world revolves around them? I would like to tell them that this is not true. They need to know the people, places, and things keep moving and you have to go with the times. In order to move up in the world, you need to go and get it. Things don't fall in your lap all the time. There are times when things seem tough, but you just need to keep going. A friend once told me, "Anything worth doing in life is not easy." This is so true. Why keep doing things that are easily accomplished? There is a bigger award when you complete something that you struggle with.

Pin-up
I've always had a thing for the pin-up look. When I met my co-worker last year, the first thought that came to my mind was, "She has the perfect look for the old school pin-up!" I'm glad she agreed to do this project with me. We still have other ideas we want to photograph so there will more pictures to come =). I hope you enjoy my pictures.

Alyssa
This was a fun photoshoot. I've been wanting to do a black and white project for a while now. I am lucky to have a friend and a cousin who let me borrow their equipment to make this project happen. This was my first in home portrait photoshoot, and I have to say that I'm happy how it turned out even though I made a few mistakes. I have a lot to learn, but in time, my skills will get better.
My model and assistant made the experience so much fun. They both have funny personalities that there was no serious moments. I have to say we laughed 98% percent of the time. When brainstorming for this project, I ideally wanted to have a dark and dramatic feel to it, but boy did I get the opposite!!! We asked my model to be serious so many times, but she couldn't. If you look at the photos, she always had "Happy Eyes."
I'm hoping to get my next project on the way. I'm going to use the same model and do a pin-up shoot. Whoop whoop!!! That photoshoot should fit her personality much better. I hope you enjoy the photos =).

San Francisco at Night
This project is LONG over due!!! I had this idea for over 2 years, and last Friday I was able to capture the shots I wanted to make this panoramic collage. Actually, the original idea was to take pictures during the day, but I figured that a night shot is more dramatic. My friend and I went to the city around 11:30 PM and finished around 4 AM. By the time we finished, I was up for 25 hours straight, and I passed out as soon as I laid on the bed. I have to thank my friend, Michelle, for keeping me company in the cold and late night. I hope you guys enjoy this picture as much as I do.

(09-12-09) Jose and Melissa's Wedding
I don't know why it took me so long to post these pictures, but here are my favorite from this event. I find weddings to be fun, specifically the reception. I wasn't the offical photographer that day, but I felt like it. I got the permission to move around any spot I wanted to capture the moment. I wish I can give you more details about that day, but it was so long ago. Hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do.

Urban Photo Shoot with "S.A."
Since I was young, I had a fascination with graffiti. Now that I have a passion for photography, I wanted to put the two together. Driving through San Francisco pretty much my whole life, I had a good idea where I can find walls full of graffiti. The hard part for me was finding time to do this project and finding my model. I asked my friend, “S.A.” if she would like to volunteer. While preparing for this photo shoot, it seemed like she was more excited about it than I was. She even bought new clothes for this! I want to thank “S.A.” for being my model and “M.M.” for helping me behind the scenes. The pictures down below are my favorite. I hope you guys/girls enjoy it as well. **Some quality was lost because I made each picture smaller for easier viewing.
